Erin Emmi (Brockert) is a softball hitting and pitching instructor with over 15 years of coaching experience.
Erin graduated from Vandalia Butler High school in Vandalia, Ohio
in 2001. She was named conference player of the year and first team all-state as a senior.
She began her collegiate softball career with Tri-State University, now known as
Trine University, where she was named Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) pitcher of the year and second team all-region in 2003.
In 2005, she transferred to Madonna University, where she continued as a pitcher, first baseman, and outfielder. In her first season with Madonna University, Erin was named NAIA National Player of the week, all conference first team, conference pitcher of the year, NAIA regional VII pitcher of the year, and NAIA All- American.
In 2006, Erin was named first team all-conference (WHAC), NAIA region VII first team, academic all-conference, ESPN the magazine academic All-American, and WHAC player of the year, along with numerous team awards. After her senior year with Madonna University, Erin played with the Michigan Ice professional softball team for one season.
While playing with Tri- State University and Madonna University, Erin gave pitching and hitting lessons. Erin continued giving pitching and hitting clinics in Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio until 2013, when she had her first daughter and relocated to Washington and then later Hawaii where she started giving lessons again in 2021.
Erin is a firm believer in creating a safe and caring environment for kids to learn the fundamentals of the game. Erin knows the importance of a strong foundation both physically and mentally and teaches students how to build strength and stamina as well as how to utilize visualization techniques, meditation, and positive self-talk to support and enhance the skills learned in lessons.
Erin has a Bachelor of Science in nursing and psychology and a Master of Science in midwifery. She is a certified nurse midwife. She has five children and lives with her husband and family in Linden, NC.
