Defense Wins Championships!
Learn the ins and outs of fielding with one of the area's top defensive coaches, Uby Martinez. This 3-week intensive training program is designed for the serious infielder who takes pride in what they do in the field. Coach Martinez is entering his 12th year of coaching baseball. He was an assistant baseball coach for 2 years at his alma mater, Columbus Community High School, before taking over as the head coach for 4 years. He is currently in his 6th year as an assistant at Iowa City Regina High School. He serves as the Regals hitting and infield coach as well as coaching 1st base during games. Coach Martinez has been part of the University of Iowa Baseball camp staff for the past six years with focus on infield and hitting instruction. Coach Martinez has seen 14 of his high school baseball players advance on to play college baseball.

The Zach Dillon Catching School is a great opportunity for young Catchers to learn proper techniques and develop their overall catching skill set. The ZD Catching School will offer the same instruction and drill work used by many top division 1 college programs and professional baseball organizations. The instruction and drill work will be broken down into 3 different lessons.
Week 1- 3 Proper Stances that should be used in different situations of a ballgame./ Proper timing of Setup/ Proper Target Setup/ Emphasis on the correct ways to receive the baseball in different areas of the strike zone.
Week 2- Review of Stance and Setup./ Emphasis on Blocking Technique./ Most efficient ways to get to blocking position./ Quickest way to recover and make the play on the runner trying to move up.
Week 3- Review of Stance and Setup/ Emphasis on Throwing Footwork and Exchange/ Footwork to each base./ Iowa Baseball Throwing Program developing arm strength and proper throwing mechanics./Bunt Plays/ Plays at the plate.
The camp will also offer a dynamic warm-up with ways to improve lower body flexibility and a core strength period during each session.

Diamond Dreams Spring Training Program is a six-week clinic that covers every aspect of the game. Each two hour session will feature professional instruction on hitting, throwing, fielding, and mental preparation. Diamond Dreams Spring Training is a great way to get back into the swing of things!
Dates: Saturdays 3/6-4/17 excluding 3/20
Time: 2:00pm-4:00pm
Cost: $180 per player or $300 per pair

Diamond Dreams will be holding an All Skills Clinic over Spring Break for Baseball and Softball players. The 4 day clinic will focus on all aspects of the game including proper throwing mechanics, the mechanics of the professional swing, base-running/sliding, fielding and baseball and softball specific strength and conditioning.
The camp will run March 15-18 from 9-Noon each day. The Spring Break All Skills Clinic is open to players ages 7-14 years old. Cost is $125 per player or $200 per pair when signed up together.
